CAMDEN – The Camden Snow Bowl Trail Fest returns on Saturday October 2 and is scheduled for trips around Ragged Mountain.
Presented by Baxter Outdoors, Trail Runners of Midcoast Maine and Midcoast Maine New England Mountain Bike Association, the event is part trail run, mountain bike race, and festival.
There will be a 3 kilometer (1.9 mile) children’s trail run, a 5 km (3.1 mile) trail run and a 10 km (6.2 mile) mountain bike race. There is also a 15 km event that combines trail and bike racing for a duathlon.
The duathlon can be completed solo or in a team. The race will be finished first, then the cycling part.
The race starts at 10 a.m. Entry fees range from $ 15 for the Kids 3K Track Race to $ 50 for the Team Duathlon.
Registration is available at baxteroutdoors.com/event/camden-snowbowl.
Event directors have announced a new bike route and have scaled down parts of the festival compared to previous years.
Plus, every mile you cycle will raise money for Midcoast Maine NEMBA, through Sidecountry Sports, and every mile you ride will raise money for Teens to Trails through Baxter Brewing Company.
The festival portion of the event will feature food and live music.
